The Lakeland Eye Clinic Pediatric Ophthalmology Service is committed to providing excellent ophthalmic care to all the children in our community. Marlen Leon, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Dr. Leon has training, experience and expertise in examining children. She evaluates and treats patients from birth to 18 years of age for all eye problems and is fluent in Spanish. She also sees adults for strabismus and diplopia.

We accept most of the insurances our pediatric population is on including Amerigroup, Avmed, BCBS, Cigna, CMS Title 19 and 21, Eyemed, Humana Commercial, Humana Medicaid, Magellan Medicaid, Medicaid, Medicare, Multiplan, PHCS, Polk Health, Premier MD, Prestige Medicaid, Simply Clear Health Alliance, Simply Medicaid, Spectera, Staywell, Summit W/C, Sunshine, UHC, VCP, VSP, and Wellmed. We are now accepting Sunshine insurance!

We offer comprehensive eye care for children from birth to 18 years of age – from failed vision screenings to annual eye exams to eye emergencies and eye surgery! Same day appointments are available.
